A Freshful Start with Solid Foods

A Freshful Start with Solid Foods!

Solid foods.

Gatsby struggled with baby food for a long time. He didn’t start consistently eating and liking food until he was 7-8 months old. I was convinced my child would drink formula until he was 30 haha! I did some research and took a different approach and introduced him to softer foods that we were eating and some baby foods that were more purees with fresh-tasting ingredients. Insert my saving grace, Freshful Start™ by Gerber! He was hooked! Gatsby is so funny. When he eats something he really likes he goes “MMMMMMmmm”

Gerber just came out with homestyle refrigerated purees and Gatsby loves them. I only buy organic for Gatsby, so I loved that these were organic. There’s no preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors, and no GMO’s. The best part is it’s conveniently located in the refrigerated section of the baby food aisle at Walmart! All you have to do is take it out of the fridge and serve it (you can warm if desired). That’s super ideal for me because preparing food becomes a struggle with juggling Gatsby, building a house and running a business.

The homestyle purees are for the sitter stage (6+ months). It has an applesauce homestyle texture that Gatsby loves. We found ours at Walmart! Don’t forget it’s in the refrigerated section of the baby food aisle. Also, while I was there I also noticed that Gerber came out with ready-to-blend baby food kits and veggie entree bowls, I’m excited to try those when he gets a little older. If you have 12+ months old, give those a shot!
